Harry Potter fans have been eagerly anticipating this film for a long time now: a new installment into, not the Harry Potter series, but the Harry Potter universe, titled Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Today, Warner Bros have just released to their YouTube channel a new teaser trailer which, if I'm like any other Harry Potter fan, will make them very happy indeed.
Set well before the events of Harry Potter take place, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is based around Newt Scamander, the author of the Hogwarts textbook of the same name that the students studied from.

First released by J.K Rowling as a mini text book for Comic Relief, it's going to be wonderful to see Scamander encountering the creatures he writes about in a magical 1927 America.

I'm Excited, But What's It About?

Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) stars in the central role of wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four Harry Potter blockbusters.

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
Not too long to go now! Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is slated for a worldwide release in 3D and IMAX (and, of course, normal screens) on Friday 18th November 2016.
