Here’s our recap of Episode 4 (entitled “Book of the Stranger”) of Season 6 HBO’s Game of Thrones. Let us begin.
- So, surprisingly, HBO finally decided to throw Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and his “half” sister, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) together. Because this hasn’t happened in forever and it is about bloody time Sansa got something good in her life. And it is especially poignant as it is now Jon who is acting all Sansa-like and needs someone to support him because he is all sooky over the Night’s Watch and their betrayal of him. And in what is possibly the quickest time ever for desicion-making in Game of Thrones, Sansa and Jon decide it is time they reclaimed the North. They don’t even need to be told that Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) has their little brother, Rickon (Art Parkinson) and wants Sansa to return home to her husband. But Ramsay tells them anway. In explicit detail. Because being raped by Ramsay is so much different to being raped by his army.
- Speaking of rash Game of Thrones decision-making, Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) manages to convince Lord Robin Arryn (Lino Facioli) to aid Sansa in her claim over the North quicker than it normally takes little Robin to decide to throw someone through the moon door. This is actually a good thing because Jon and the WIldlings did the math and they fall about 3,000 men short of a fair fight with Ramsay.
- In Westeros, where things are boring because the religious nuts have taken over, Margaery (Natalie Dormer) is trying to convince the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) that family is important. She also tries to convince her brother, Loras (Finn Jones), to fight the High Sparrow. Loras, being his normal spineless self thinks this is just all too hard.
- Meanwhile, Cersei (Lena Headey) has entered her “I chose violence” phase of Season 6 of Game of Thrones, and, along with Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), has convinced Margaery’s grandmother, Olenna Tyrell (Dame Diana Rigg) to also chose violence.
- Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) has returned to the Iron Islands and it is as grey and dismal as he remembers it. His sister, Yara (Gemma Whelan), is just as depressing. However, when Theon tells her he wants her to rule the Iron Islands and not him, she is happy. Which makes Theon happy. Poor, pathetic little Stockholm-syndrome boy that he is.
- No dick jokes for Tyrion this week in Game of Thrones. He’s far too busy bluffing his way through diplomacy for that. He and the slavers of Meereen come to an agreement but who cares because all we really want is for Daenerys (Emila Clarke) to turn up on the back of her dragon and burn Meereen to the ground. While she’s skybound, she could probably swing over Dorne as well…
- But Daenerys is captured by the Dothraki and kept confined to the Dosh Khaleen. Unless she needs to pee, when she can freely walk around the place with a fellow Khaleen who is just as questionable about wanting to be there as Daenerys.
- While Daenerys is out looking for a good place to pee, Jorah (Iain Glen) and Daario (Michiel Huisman) infiltrate the Dothraki and manage to easily track down Daenerys. A plan is hatched.
- And that plan is epic.
- Daenerys is taken to see the Khals where her fate will be decided. When Daenerys walks in like she owns the place, I am sitting back and rubbing my hands together with glee, knowing damn well that Daenerys is just about to take over the Dothraki even if I can’t work out how just yet.
- And the how turns out to be burning the place to the ground and walking free from the inferno. The entire Dothraki bow down to their new leader. Jorah and Daario also, but Jorah just has to get one more full frontal for the spank tank first.

WTF MOMENTS
- Ramsay kills Osha (Natalia Tena) and then goes back to skinning his apple with the same knife he used to kill her. Really HBO? You dragged Osha along like this for how many seasons and then just killed her???
- Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) eyeing off Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie). Please make this a thing sooner rather than later HBO.

Tits and Dragons MeterFor a reminder of my rating scale, please visit here.
2 out of 5 for Tits thanks to two Dothraki shagging in a dark alleyway and Daenerys burning all her clothes off.
0.5 out of 5 for Dragons. While there were no dragons or mention of them, Daenerys walked through fire, which is sort of dragon related. Yes, I am clutching at straws here.
