All my fine-haired ladies out there, are you like me and have coveted a thick fringe (or bangs, for our North American readers) but have never been able to achieve the look because your hair is too wispy and fine? Do you find that no matter how far back on the crown of your head you start it from, there's just not enough fullness to give you the fringe you dream of?
And our curly-haired counterparts, are you out there wanting to try a fringe but not wanting the commitment (in case it all goes wrong?)
I feel you. I so feel you.
But guess what! With just a couple of dollars investment on eBay, I now have a straight, full fringe whenever I want it - and no endless blow drying or curling and frizzing up by the end of the day!
Let me show you my secret:

Let me show you my secret:
Clip-in bangs
I can't tell you the number of compliments I receive with it and I'm not gonna lie, it boosts my self-confidence to no end, as well.
Have you ever wondered how celebs have an amazing fringe but seem to skip that awkward in-between haircuts phase and manage to grow it out super-fast? Clip-in bangs.
I didn't want to spend much money as I didn't know if I was going to feel stupid with clip-in bangs, so I bought a super-cheap set of synthetic clip-ins from eBay. And you know what? Even though it's not the greatest quality, no one can even tell it's not my real hair and everyone thinks I look fabulous which makes me feel fabulous.
And best of all - it stays perfectly styled all day. No need for hair products, a blow dryer or straightening iron - with a quick, gentle brush before clippingit in each day, you're out the door.

Clip-In Bang Tips
- It's easier to find a shade that matches and blends with your hair if your own hair is all one colour, rather than with highlights. My hair is currently all black which my faux bangs blend seamlessly with.
- Hide where the clips meet your real hair with a headband, the thicker the better. I have now begun investing in twenty billion cute headbands which really elevate my look each day. If you're better with hair techniques than I am, you could give yourself a cute Heidi braid (or buy a Heidi headband like I did!)
- Bobby pin your real face-framing hair away from the front to the sides of your face. During the day I find it sometimes sneaks into my face so I have longer strands of my real hair hanging out by my nose, giving the whole game away. Some sneaky adjustment is required, but it's a heap easier just to pin it back.
- There are a ton of YouTube tutorials on how to style your hair with your clip-in bangs in place, so go forth and find some fun styles that work for you.
That's it! Enjoy your new look!
