This wonderful mother's day commercial from P&G is worth bringing out of the vault. Its aim is to celebrate mums, and how they help their children every time they fall, and it does that, but to me the message is so much bigger.
Watching these children learning to walk, learning to skate and falling, and crying, and getting disheartened because they'll never be any good, but persevering anyway before, eventually, achieving thier dreams at the Olympics hit me right in the feels.
Because when you're trying something new, no matter how young or old you are or how important it is to you, failure makes it so easy to give up.
But all those years of effort, of trying, after all the little successes and all you've learned are wasted if you do. And if you give up, you guarantee that you will never win. But if you persevere, you won't guarantee that you will win, but your odds are 100% better.
Every time you fall, every time you fail, you learn something and get better.
Don't give up on your dreams, Tragics. However huge and impossible they may seem. You'll never achieve them if you do.
