Eurovision is underway! Semi-final 1 for 2016 has been and gone for European viewers (and the dedicated Australian Eurovision fanatics and Dami Army who were up and at 'em for the 5am Wednesday morning kick-off). Fear not though, Aussies, there is another chance to experience all the fun, if not live alongside Europe, you get to do it live with the rest of Australia tomorrow night!
Settle in from 7:30pm Friday for Eurovision 2016 semi-final 1, 7:30pm Saturday for semi-final 2 and the mega grand final on Sunday.
And it's the grand final we have to talk about, you guys. Because there is going to be a crazy awesome special guest.

Yes, while Europe votes for their winner during the Grand Final, with his brand new chart topper Can't Stop the Feeling, bonafide A-List celeb, Justin Timberlake, will be entertaining the in-house audience in Sweden, not to mention the hundreds of millions of home viewers (us!) across the globe.
The peeps behind the extravaganza are pretty chuffed. Show Producer of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, Sven Stojanovic, said:

This is a fantastic opportunity, we are very happy and excited that Justin Timberlake will perform his new song together with his band in our show. It makes it extra special that the Swedish songwriters Max Martin and Shellback have co-written and co-produced the song together with Justin Timberlake.
If Eurovision has never piqued your interest before, then this might be a good year to check it out.
Want to Watch Eurovision from North America? This Year You Can!
In its 61st year and for the very first time, the Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast live in the U.S. from the positively civilised time of 3pm EST, beginning Saturday. It will air on both Viacom's Logo Network and LogoTV.com, or if you don't have cable you can live stream on Eurovision.tv. But I must warn you - the Eurovision.tv live stream is global, therefore there is no witty commentary from your country's host and, depending on who that host is, that can be a real bummer to miss out on. I think Julia and Sam, who are Australia's commentators are hilarious and really knowledgeable with juicy behind the scenes tidbits and interviews thrown in, and when my B&B's TV wasn't working in the UK in 2014 I was disappointed to miss Graham Norton's take on the madness that is this song contest.

How to Make the Most of Your Eurovision Viewing Experience in Australia
Unless you're up and watching at 5am, Aussies don't get to snark and cheer along online with Europe, but let's be real - it's impossible to keep up with the conversation when there are millions of participants, anyway. Aussies, if you're watching the 7:30pm screenings on SBS, make sure to tag your posts #SBSEurovision to keep the conversation going with viewers watching along with you. (Pro Tip: European viewers know we watch a delayed broadcast. And some of them on Twitter like to spoil the winner for #SBSEurovision tweeters. It's annoying, but it happens. You've been warned.)
Don't forget to get your unofficial vote in (since you're not watching live) on SBS, Australia's home of Eurovision, before the end of each performance and see just how much Australia likes - or dislikes - each act in real time.
Semi-final 1 tomorrow night is exciting, and I'm very much looking forward to semi-final 2 in which Dami will represent Australia, and then Justin Timberlake for the grand final? Best. Eurovision. Ever.
Which country do you think will take the glory in 2016?
